My very talented glass-artist friend, Janet, created this cute ferret bead as a fundraiser for Ferrets Unlimited Ferret Shelter.
There is a lot going on at the shelter and this will be a great way to receive a unique piece of ferret art, while helping the ferrets. This is a mission fish auction and 100% of the money will go to the shelter.

Firefly Lampwork Beads Ferret Friend Fundraiser
Please help spread the word, if you can! I think this will make an adorable piece of jewelry. I've been nagging her to make ferret beads forever, but I'm so happy that she decided to do this as a fundraiser.
p.s. my sweet ferret, Ernie, is featured on the auction page.

Hi Julianne!
Thanks for "gently suggesting" that I do a ferret bead - long overdue, I know. LOL I hope this brings in the bucks for the ferrets!!! :)
I also wanted to add this: I just realized this morning that ferret lovers may or may not know what to DO with a bead, so I added in a free pendant-i-zation of this bead! I will wire up this bead with sterling silver and a Swarovski crystal to finish it into a ready-to-wear pendant.
haha, I love that you call this gently suggesting. I actually have a nag list (things to gently remind a certain spouse about).
Thanks so much! This rocks. I hope that you add ferret items to your portfolio.

I think I will have to... you ferret people are wild about ferrets! ;-)

Hello, I'm Hiroko5150.
I happened to be interested in Firefly Beadwork. In my neighborhood there're many atriers of glass artists.
Can I borrow this image in my blog? I'm really thinking of English version.
Hi Hiroko! I am not the photographer of for this image. I asked for permission to use this photo for this post, from Janet at Firefly. She created the bead and the image. You may visit her website at this address:

I will tell her that you asked about it.
Hi Julianne,
I already added her blog to my RSS reader. I'll ask her by myself. Thanks.
I missed the auction of this great bead. When can we expect more?!?
