Eila

Eila, photographed by Julianne Gentile.

Please think of the animals this holiday season. Can you give up one present or even one latte and make a donation to your local Ferret Shelter or other animal organization?

I have been so sad and worried lately thinking about all the ferrets that don't have homes this Christmas. If you have room in your home for one more, please visit your local shelter, and see who is out there.

We have eight ferrets here and while they are a handful, they bring us so much joy.

The photo above is Eila, she is a sweet, old lady that has been waiting for a home for over a year now. She is about 6 years old and she is just precious.
She is at Ferrets Unlimited Ferret Shelter in Cleveland, Ohio.

What a sweetie. I adopted another ferret today. I named him Hanuman. He's a 17 week old silver mitt. I also donated additional money to the shelter. Barb, of Rocky's Ferret Rescue and Shelter is a fabulous shelter mom.

How wonderful! Enjoy your new kit! I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Barb, but I've heard lots of great things about her and the shelter.

I ended up adopting two. I went back for his cagemate Jill (now known as Kali.)

Barb is a truly beautiful soul. I enjoy spending time with her at the shelter.
